Our Practice Areas

Computerlaw Group LLP, ever changing to meet its clients’ needs, is happy to announce that it has gone virtual creating more flexibility for our clients and our attorneys. We’re still the same client-focused litigation firm founded in 1985. The firm maintains its AV-rated* and is still led by Northern California SuperLawyer founding partner Jack Russo.

Even more importantly, Computerlaw Group LLP, has a long record of success advising high-tech industry clients in a wide variety of complex commercial and intellectual property disputes. Our practice encompasses several key competencies, as described below.

  • Complex business litigation: We represent computer and high-tech industry clients in a full range of business cases. When other business conflicts arise, our experienced litigation attorneys are available to take on other types of commercial disputes.
  • Intellectual property litigation: Most frequently, our clients need creative and experienced attorneys to protect their intellectual property rights in litigation. We handle all types of IP litigation: patent and trademark infringements, copyright violations, theft of trade secrets, and unfair technology competition.
  • Mediation and arbitration: Almost every complex business and intellectual property dispute will go through some form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) before trial. Our attorneys have substantial experience taking disputes through mediation and arbitration — and many even have experience as mediators and arbitrators themselves.
  • Appellate Specialists: Much like dispute resolution, high stakes litigation often sees its fair share of appellate practice. Our attorneys have deep experience in appellate and writ practice in both state and federal appeals courts across the nation. Our founder Jack Russo is a certified appellate specialist by the State Bar of California.
